Turn Up for Turnout Gear Annual Gala
Rockdale County Fire Rescue Foundation intends to create a once-a-year formal evening fundraising Gala that will raise money for Turn Out Gear and Uniforms for the Fire and Rescue workers of Rockdale County. Turn Out Gear has a service life of 10 years and the cost is roughly $4200 per set. Although Turn Out Gear has a shelf life of 10 years, replacing gear occurs way more frequently due to damage from fires or hazardous materials. Due to budget restraints making necessary replacements can be laxed. Safety is the number one priority of Rockdale County Fire Rescue. However, without access to funds for necessary gear replacements, it is actually putting our Fire and Rescue workers at an even higher and avoidable safety risk. Keeping our Fire and Rescue workers safe makes it easier to have and maintain the safety of our communities.
It is the mission of RCFR Foundation to address, educate, coordinate, and provide aid and relief to RCFR to ensure they safely provide emergency services to the citizens and visitors of our communities that also promotes economic development, sustainability and improves quality of life through community risk reduction, professional development, and commitment to service.
The purpose of Rockdale County Fire Rescue Foundation is to increase the Rockdale County Fire Rescue Department's capacity and capabilities for emergency preparedness and response. YOU can help us by getting involved and donating to this necessary cause.
